CARE stands for Caught Acting and Responding with Excellence and is presented to employees quarterly in partnership with Woodforest Bank. Each winner receives $100 from Woodforest Bank. Recipients are nominated by their peers and/or community members. October’s winners include:
Maria Guerra - Sheldon Early Childhood Academy - teacher
Ms. Guerra has been nominated for her fun and motivating teaching to pre-kindergarten students.
Laura Belden - Sheldon Lake Elementary School - receptionist
Those who nominated Mrs. Belden say she is the warm smile that greets families at the campus each day. She always goes above and beyond to be helpful.
Yesika Rios - C.E. King High School - child nutrition
Nominations said Ms. Rios cares for students, treats them with respect and truly listens well.
The next CARE Award presentation will be in December. Nominations will open again in November.
