Dear Parents and Families,

It’s a great day to be a SECA Jaguar! It is exciting to be a part of this family and serve this community! I am looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. It has been proven that in order to be successful in school, our students need support from both home and school. A strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and I want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

  • Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
  • Shares school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
  • Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school and go on to college

Assistant Principal

Kenyatta Sylvester returns to Sheldon ISD as the Assistant Principal of Sheldon Early Childhood Academy. Mrs. Sylvester has 29 years of educational experience including, classroom teacher, special education, instructional coach and assistant principal of operation.  Kenyatta received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where she was born and raised. Mrs. Sylvester is married to Dr. Tyrone Sylvester and they have two boys, Caleb and Collyn. Mrs. Sylvester looks forward with excitement to meeting and collaborating with SISD stakeholders during the 24-25 school year.
